Interview of the month
To give you the chance to get to know our team before your arrival, we introduce a different team member each month. Today, meet our Director, Ingeborg Seitz.
Ingeborg is 56 years young and supports the entire team.
Why the Austria Classic Hotel Wien?
In the summer of 1986, I did a three-month internship at the hotel and was thrilled. I was welcomed like a member of the family and felt very comfortable.
I also really enjoyed interacting with the guests. Two years later, right after finishing high school, I started working at this beautiful hotel.
What brings you joy at work?
I see myself as a link between the guests, the staff, and the management. My top priority is to be a patient point of contact for all of them.
What comes first for you in your position?
All the funny stories you experience in a hotel! When you work with and for people, many quirky things happen.
Here’s one example (this was many years ago):
A guest checked in and came to the reception just a few minutes later, quite agitated, saying he heard a buzzing noise in his room and feared it might be a bomb.
After a thorough inspection, it turned out that when he had placed his suitcase next to the bed, his electric shaver had accidentally switched on inside the bag.
How long have you been working at Austria Classic Hotel Wien?
In July 2025, it will be 37 years!

Viennese tap water

The drinking water in Vienna is considered one of the best in the world. It comes mainly from the spring areas of the high-spring water pipeline in the northern limestones. The natural spring water of high quality allows residents and visitors to drink directly from the tap without hesitation.
The call is to avoid plastic bottles and protect the environment while enjoying the excellent Viennese drinking water.
