Our Cafe-Bar "Max Steiner" is open between 10.30 am and 23.30 pm and is run as a non-smoking bar. We are happy to serve coffee, tea, beer, wine, soft drinks and spirits.

Maximilian Raoul "Max" Steiner was born May 10, 1888 in our Hotel. † December 28, 1971 in Beverly Hills, California. He was an Austro-American composer and is one of the most successful and influential film music composers in cinematic history and he is also described as the "father of film music". He received a total of 24 Oscar nominations and won the Oscar three times. Famous are his scores to Gone with the Wind, King Kong and the White Woman, Casablanca and The Summer Island. For King Kong and the White Woman in 1933, he underwent dialogues with music for the first time in film history.
