Donauinselfest 2026 (Danube Island Festival)
My name is Lucas and I work as a receptionist at our lovely hotel on Praterstraße.
Today I’d like to tell you about one of Vienna’s most popular music events, which will take place from 3 to 5 July – the Donauinselfest. This is Europe’s largest open-air festival with free admission, and for the 43rd time it will be offering top-class music from Austria and around the world to a wide audience. There’s also a varied programme of side events – from karaoke to street food – with something for everyone.
Getting there: Your biggest summer party is just a stone’s throw away from our hotel. From ‘Praterstern’ or ‘Nestroyplatz’ station, simply take the U1 (red line) to ‘Donauinsel’ station.
It’s well worth a visit! Whether you’re a family, a die-hard fan or a curious tourist – and regardless of whether you’re into Austropop, rock, rap, pop or other genres – from 3 to 5 July, there’s music for everyone here!
