Santos – Creative Cocktails & a Relaxed Atmosphere in Vienna

When I am in the mood for really good cocktails in Vienna, I often end up at Santos. The bar impresses with creative drinks, a relaxed atmosphere and a modern concept. What is especially cool: the cocktails are not simply served here – they are almost staged.

The menu is also always exciting, as new creations are offered regularly. If you are looking for cocktail bars in Vienna that are modern, relaxed and still high-quality, Santos is definitely worth a visit.

Krypt – A Stylish Cocktail Bar in Vienna with a Special Concept

Another bar I can truly recommend is Krypt. As soon as you enter, you immediately notice that this cocktail bar in Vienna is something special. The atmosphere is dark, modern and stylish – perfect for an evening with friends or a special drink for two.

The bartenders know their craft extremely well and are also happy to advise you if you are looking for something a little more unusual. Especially if you want to experience something different from classic hotel bars in Vienna, Krypt is a really good choice.

Lamee Rooftop & Libelle – Rooftop Bars with Views over Vienna

Especially in summer, rooftop bars in Vienna are simply a must for me. Two of my favourites are Lamee Rooftop and Libelle.

Lamee Rooftop offers a beautiful view over Vienna’s city centre and is perfect for a drink at sunset. In the evening in particular, a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere develops above the rooftops of Vienna.

Libelle is also one of the most beautiful rooftop bars in Vienna for me. Its location on the roof of the Leopold Museum makes the bar especially unique. Add to that good cocktails, a modern atmosphere and a wonderful view of the city.

If you want to experience Vienna from above, you should definitely visit these two rooftop bars.

Kleinod – One of the Best-Known Bars in Vienna

Kleinod has almost become a classic among Vienna’s bars. Nevertheless, the bar still manages to create a special experience again and again. The cocktails are high-quality, the crowd is pleasant and the atmosphere is elegant without feeling pretentious.

Especially on weekends, it can get quite busy – so making a reservation is definitely worthwhile. For me, Kleinod is one of those bars in Vienna that you should visit at least once.

Bar-Hopping in Vienna – My Tips for a Successful Evening

What I particularly like about Vienna is that many good bars are relatively close to one another. This makes the city perfect for a relaxed evening out or classic bar-hopping.

My tip: start the evening with a relaxed rooftop drink above the rooftops of Vienna and then discover smaller cocktail bars in the city centre. This way, you can experience very different sides of Vienna’s bar scene.

Especially around the 1st and 2nd districts, you will find many exciting bars that can be combined perfectly.
