ready for take off

Dear guests, friends and readers,

My name is Lucas and I have been working at the reception desk of the Austria Classic Hotel Vienna since March this year. I really enjoy working here, as I greatly appreciate the atmosphere within the team and my job. In addition to my job as a receptionist, I am currently training to be a pilot, as I have been interested in aviation for a long time. Although the training is very extensive, I enjoy it just as much and I am delighted that I can combine my job and training, two things that I really enjoy, so well. For this reason, I have decided to show you some places worth seeing in today's blog entry that can be easily combined with my interests. Perhaps you will find something for your next holiday plans. So hop in and fasten your seatbelts!

Vienna Airport

First of all, I can recommend the Vienna Airport Experience to tourists visiting Vienna. Here you can gain many exciting insights into a wide variety of situations and professions at the airport and take a look behind the scenes. You will also be given a guided tour by bus across the airport apron. From personal experience, I can highly recommend a visit, especially for families. More information and tickets can be found on the airport's website, where you can also find various other tours (e.g. through the Austrian Airlines hangar). A must for aviation enthusiasts!

Sky Diving

However, if you are a little afraid of flying but still want to feel the adrenaline rush in the air, I can recommend the Windobona in the Prater. This is a sky diving experience where you can fly together with an expert inside an air tube. Without parachuting and therefore completely risk-free. As our hotel is located near the Prater, it is even easier for adventure seekers to get there. Simply combine sky diving with a trip to the Wurstlprater. This is also an absolute highlight for families and children. But be careful, it's better to enjoy snacks and candyfloss after flying and after the roller coaster ride ;)

Technical museum

Last but not least, I also recommend a visit to the Technical Museum. If you are interested in technology and don't always want to fly, this is the place for you. Especially because a wide variety of devices, vehicles, inventions, etc. are on display. And since the museum is only about 10 minutes away from Schönbrunn Palace, you can also combine your visit with a walk in the beautiful gardens of the palace. (Especially when the Christmas market opens in winter and the Easter market in spring).

I wish u a pleasant flight!

I hope I have been able to give you some ideas about places to visit and recommendations, and I hope you enjoy your next stay in our beautiful city of Vienna! See you soon and goodbye!

Yours, Lucas from the reception team
