Family fun with an aha effect - our trip to the Museum of Illusions
I love exploring our beautiful city with my family - and this trip was a real highlight for young and old! Together with my husband and our two children, we visited the Museum of Illusions in the first district - a place full of amazing impressions and fun surprises.
How to get there?
The museum is easy to reach from the hotel: We started in Praterstraße, took the U1 from Nestroyplatz to Stephansplatz and after a short walk we were already in the midst of amazement. The museum is centrally located in Wallnerstraße - perfect for easy access, even with children.
Adventure for everyone
A real family adventure awaited us inside. The multitude of optical illusions and interactive exhibits not only invite you to marvel, but also to join in. We had a lot of fun at the photo stations, where we appeared to be walking on the ceiling, shrinking or suddenly looking huge. It is precisely these moments that are unforgettable for children - and wonderful for parents to photograph. Admission for adults currently costs €14, children aged between 5 and 15 pay €10, and there is a combined ticket for families for €38 (2 adults + 2 children) - a fair price for so much entertainment and creative photo opportunities.
After the museum
After the visit, we took a leisurely stroll towards Tuchlauben - not only does it have beautiful boutiques, but also delicious ice cream! We treated ourselves to a well-earned refreshment and rounded off the afternoon on a sweet note. An all-round successful family outing that I can highly recommend to all our guests - with or without children!
