Un albergo viennese di antica tradizione
L’Austria Classic Hotel Wien fu eretto nel 1838 come "Hotel Nordbahn". Da allora si distingue per la combinazione straordinaria fra ospitalità professionale e familiare. Nei quasi 200 anni di storia l’Austria Classic Hotel Wien ha offerto una dimora temporanea a numerosi ospiti, fra cui anche nomi famosi.

Già circa 200 anni fa, l’Austria Classic Hotel Wien era molto popolare fra i visitatori di Vienna per la sua posizione centrale. Anche se oggi non sono più le diligenze postali a condurre gli ospiti fino al nostro albergo, la famiglia di proprietari è esigente come allora in fatto di ospitalità. Chi arriva all’Austria Classic Hotel Wien viene accolto come un amico – è il motto che da sempre rispettiamo.

Le numerose vedute dell’albergo situato vicino al Prater di Vienna, esposte nei corridoi e nelle sale di soggiorno, sono testimoni della lunga tradizione alberghiera. Una lapide commemorativa ed un collage di foto ricordano, inoltre, un viennese eminente legato alla storia all’Austria Classic Hotel Wien. Si tratta di Max Steiner che, divenuto famoso per aver composto la colonna sonora del film Casablanca, scrisse l’accompagnamento musicale di più di 300 produzioni di Hollywood. Anche il famoso poeta ed artista polacco Stanislaw Wyspianski trascorse molto tempo all´Austria Classic Hotel Wien.Cronologica:
* 1808 – Construction of the main building “Zum schwarzen Tor” meaning “to the black door”, back then there were only 2 floors at 72 Praterstraße, until the year 1862 the street was called “Jägerzeile” which means “Hunters Lane” and was the residence of Mr. Peter Danhauser
* 1837 – Opening of the “Emperor Ferdinand Northern Railroad” which was the 1
* 1838 – Construction of the 3rd floor and the opening of “Hotel Nordbahn“ by Mr. Josef Johann Scheiflinger, the son-in-law of Mr. Peter Danhauser, since then the Hotel has been the property of the Scheiflinger family and their descendants
* 1849 –Annex of the two side wings in the court yard was constructed
* 1866 – On 3rd July the “Battle at Königgrätz” in the German War led to defeat of the Austrians against the Prussians, the high command of the army establishes until it’s disbanding at the “Hotel Nordbahn”
* 1868 – Takeover of the Hotel by Mr. Josef Peter Scheiflinger, son of Mr. Josef Johann Scheiflinger
* 1888 – Birth of Mr. Max Steiner on the 10
* 1904 – Mr. Stanisław Wyspiański lived in the Hotel in August; he was a Polish dramatist, poet, and visual artist from Krakow and a member of the artist association of the Vienna Sezession, please see the plaque at the front of the Hotel
* 1908 – Takeover of the Hotel by Mr. Felix Scheiflinger, a long-term head of the council of the Vienna Hotel industry, he was the son of Mr. Josef Peter Scheiflinger
* 1944-1945 – Severe damage and partial destruction of the building in the 2
* 1945-1955 – The Hotel was under Russian administration, partial renovation of the Hotel
* 1955 – The Hotel administration was taken over again by Mr. Felix Scheiflinger, there was further investment in the reconstruction of the house
* 1961 – Takeover of the Hotel by Mrs. Erika Blumauer, daughter of Mr. Felix Scheiflinger
* 1973 – Takeover of the Hotel administration by Mr. Reinhard Blumauer, son of Mrs. Erika Blumauer, from then on, there have been many annual big investments in the infrastructure of the house as well as the construction of an annex and reconstruction of the wings that were destroyed in the war
* 2010 – Takeover of the Hotel administration by Mrs. Ines Pietsch, daughter of Mr. Reinhard Blumauer
* Future – Many investments are planned
